Fire

We watched FIRE by Deepa Mehta. It was alright. Part of the Earth, Fire and Water trilogy. We need to see Earth now. That one has the religious conflicts once the British left I believe.

We went for a drive to Upper Canada Village on the weekend. It's in such a beautiful area on the St. Lawrence. Funny to see so many french speaking people there.

Off to the cottage for a final swim before the season ends.

Eve and the fire horse

We had a Chinese theme night last night. Started off with dinner at Jadeland in China town and watched Eve and the fire horse. It's a cute little film about a Chinese family in Vancouver in the 70s.

Perfect weather today. It's around 20 degrees.

Oh, I saw Basic Instinct 2 the other day. Garbage.

Marriage

We had the pleasure of attending My sister and brother-in-law's wedding Saturday. It was really exciting. Everything went very well and I wish them the best.

Michelle and I had our 2 year dating anniversary yesterday. Time flies. She means the world to me.

Her folks will be here in September for some time in Ottawa.

Humid

It's been pretty humid lately. Typical Ottawa summer. Kudos for Michelle to stick it out. She was in BC for a couple of summers and it took some getting used to again. She's tough.

2007 is going to be awesome. Wedding and then France. Can't get better than that.
